Lauren has been practicing yoga for more than ten years and each day continues on her journey along the 8 limb path of yoga. She is deeply inspired by the wisdom of yoga beyond asana practice. A 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, receiving her certification from the Long Island School of Yoga, Lauren’s journey began as a personal challenge to achieve greater flexibility; “I couldn’t even touch my toes.” Experimenting with different styles of yoga Lauren vividly recalls when she took her first Vinyasa class, “it was like magic.” From that point forward Lauren was sold on Vinyasa, which is the style she primarily teaches. She has found that this practice has helped her remain balanced in a hectic world.
Safety and proper alignment are of the utmost importance to her practice. Offering an open-level style, Lauren has the know-how to teach beginners and experienced practitioners with safe, effective and unique ways to explore the body and go to deeper, richer places. Lauren’s approach is to “meet you where you are”, offering modifications where required, and variations that enable practitioners of all levels to attain the postures while holding space for exploration and development. In her class Lauren offers a safe space for your practice, where you can play, learn, strengthen the body, and calm the mind. She takes great pride in her support of helping others achieve their goals through, and with, yoga.
